Economic good news: the Dow tops 13,000

I'm not normally big on financial news, but I thought it was interesting that the Dow broke 13,000 today. After all the talk the last year or so, it is nice to see that the market is recovering. Apparently, the increase is due in large part to a major gain in corporate earnings. This record-breaking close also comes at a time when there is a major slump in the housing market. My hope is that things will even out so the Dow, NASDAQ, and the rest of those financial indexes will be healthy and the housing market stabilizes.
